Just watched Norways Massacre on BBC Two
Breivik is a soulless demon. He should be put in prison and forgotten. He does not deserve to go to hell quickly.
mackiea asked: i love your blog. i could go through your blog for hours, honestly. :)) are you Nigerian in any way.

The world will be a better place if we all had pounded yam and egusi. No more wars when people are chewing on shaki.

I feel sick and I wish I had not looked it up.
Physically sick.
And Angry.

@ sycamore-sidhe
that is interesting, but surely feminism will mean different things to different women and different cultures. In the West, yes, it is undeniable that women are immensely objectified but in other parts of the world they are oppressed or their importance is not recognized at all. Additionally, men are increasingly feeling the pressure of the fashion / beauty industry, admittedly...
sycamore-sidhe-deactivated20130 asked: And yet this is precisely what is seen to be socially acceptable, with intelligent college graduates believing that they have to be beautiful, slim and attractive to get ahead in their careers. Women who choose not to subscribe to the beauty industry are considered freakish, bitter, and unpleasant to be around, and have few media representations. There is an exponentially larger payoff for women...
sycamore-sidhe-deactivated20130 asked: (part 2). The average employed British woman between 18-35 spends almost 20% of her monthly wages on image through buying make-up, fashionable clothes and beauty magazines. But if you think what a tiny fraction of human history women have had the legal and social right to equal employment, and that this right is denied to 80% of the women currently alive on planet earth, it seems fairly bitter...
sycamore-sidhe-deactivated20130 asked: Hi, I found your BOOBS post, and I felt I had to say something. As an unattractive it is really difficult not to start feeling bitter and angry at the world. Western women have the right to property, education, and the right to vote, but somehow feminism has been taken almost universally to mean sexual liberation. Western women are less oppressed but more objectified than any other time in human...

Anonymous asked: How can you say that your tomorrow is promised when the bible says that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone? It also says to worry solely about today, for tomorrow will take care of itself, and that we do not know what tomorrow will bring. Explain?
vikki is on fire.
w0tsits asked: off work, but I can 100 % see why the employer would. And it is within nature or each sex to have specific roles. Men and women are different, and it's about time extremists (for both sexes) realise the PROS of these differences. Stop taking the cons as a threat, but as a fact of life. Even take pride in the fact that each sex has something special about them that the other doesn't....
w0tsits asked: has to pay child support to the WOMAN. The number of females who are successful and respected in business, politics, media and the arts is absolutely staggering. The reasons why men are more likely to be chosen for a job, despite both sexes having the exact same qualifications, attributes and experience as one another is because WOMEN are more likely to go on maternity leave than men.. FACT. I...
w0tsits asked: If you look at adoption rates, it is more difficult for a single parent to adopt a child/ren, however it is significantly easier for a single WOMAN to adopt than a man. When couples divorce and children are involved, unless either parent has been clinically deemed unfit to parent her children, the WOMAN gets usually gets sole custody of a child. And if the custody is split (i.e both parents see...
w0tsits asked: Because they are now taking it too far. Saying that we should have MORE opportunities for women. Women deserve MORE rights to things we already have rights for. Women shouldn't need to bear there husbands surname, not to talk about even needing a man. But the bible itself talks about Adam needed a companion. Someone to keep him company and to love him and for him to love also. Feminists of...
w0tsits asked: The thing with feminism today is that these women, who are campaigning for equality and rights for all, are doing the exact opposite of what they allegedly stand for. Our sisters in history who fought so hard for women to have a voice and be heard, to be treated as equals among men, to have a significance other than child rearing and house keeping, for society to accept women in power and to allow...
Anonymous asked: Coming from a girl, maybe you shouldn't watch such things. For me, I find movies with those scenes to be very degrading to women and men alike. I don't watch them. I want to save my heart, mind, and eyes for my husband. This is just my point of view though.

Perspective
I find it difficult to appreciate female nudity as art. All I see are TITS.
My dad used to work in the television industry so nakedness does not faze him. We’ll be a watching a movie and a sex scene comes on and my dad is there analyzing it, evaluating the script, was the dialogue good enough to render this scene? how does the director want me to view the characters? could the angles of the...

the number of feminists, particularly black feminists on tumblr is staggering.
I decide to follow a lot of them simply because they offer a different perspective on life.
reading their posts and thoughts have made me stop and think on numerous occasions. It makes me ponder on how I treat women, from my mum, sister to friends, to women I don’t know, to women on the internet…and even...

over zealous materialism as a personal characteristic is very unattractive.

I dislike it when people, particularly Christians, say “Live now, you might not see tomorrow”.
Frankly, my tomorrow is assured, I can’t die now. I have not accomplished my purpose on earth.
Simple.

So my church decided to watch Courageous for the evening service.
I was so sceptical about the movie, my presumptions were: shoddy acting, no real action, cheesy script…
For the most part it is a cheesy script but it was touching. Beautifully so. There were some major tearjerkers in the plot and so many points to reflect on.
I thought the portrayal of black gangs was too heavy but...
2 Cor 7 advocates the need for a unity amongst Christians. So we can work together and help each other grow. V1 …let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. The boldness with which Paul declares “…I have said before that you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together” is staggering. A Christian friendship should be...

Masterpiece
Whenever I wish to elevate a friend to a confidant, I want them to be better than me. I don’t tend to give them as much leeway as I’d give myself or another friend. Paradoxical in a way because I am flawed. I know that. And I tend to magnify it to myself, a sort of Jekyll and Hyde situation, I look into the mirror and I see my towering imperfections. And yet I expect confidants to be...
