I didn't know my heart was so heavy.
I am exceedingly glad I went to the Christian Union meeting tonight. So so glad. I was amazed at the number of Christians that just streamed into the meeting. The hall was packed.  The testimonies were right on point. The truth is I too have being trying to be “King of my world” and the guy said “it’s a total mess when you are king of your world.” We had praise and...

Acts 21
I find Paul to be a remarkable man. Agabus essentially tells him ‘you’re going to be beaten up on going to Jerusalem’ and Paul is just like “yer, I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” Knowingly walking into danger takes…a different sort of psyche. Kinda reminds me of Malcolm X. V25 I wish the Bible would be clearer on what sexual immorality...

You know what I like about Chinese people
THEY HELP EACH OTHER OUT. There’s China town in every city in England, there’s always some sort of Chinese society. And yer some of us think that they don’t try to integrate but THEY HELP EACH OTHER OUT.  Unlike Black People. Once an African is rich, he forgets about everybody else. Riches just goes to the head. Africans don’t help each other out. Put an African shop on...

A Jewish peasant boy came to the big town to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. But found himself without his prayer book. The wheel of his cart had come off right in the middle of the woods and it distressed him that this day should pass without his having said his prayers. He thought: “The Holy One blessed is enthroned in the heavens and we pray all year long to Him. We especially pray during these two...

“He made them male and female and called them Adam. I believe what the World needs is justice and fairness. Simple.” My mum is a lawyer, a pastor and she’s black. What do you girls (and guys) think?

Lol Paul preached this dude to sleep! LOL. And even after the guy died, he kept on preaching HAHA fair enough Eutychus came back to life but thankfully missed Paul preaching to DAWN. Paraphrasing Paul “I don’t count my life dear to myself.” HOW? HOOOOOW? I’m no way near that level and it’s a form of pride isn’t it… V35 …You must support the weak. First thing that comes to mind is disabled folks....

Anonymous asked: Usually it's better just to stay out of situations where you have to be reminding yourself not to make stupid decisions. And that other anon is right, there are other ways to socialize. (:

dailybreathoflove asked: I'm sure you can socialite and go out with your friends, but if you're going to be somewhere that you feel is wrong, or that you know is wrong in God's eyes then you should not go. Clubs are not the right place to be if you are following God, you can't control what happens there. Even though you may just go chill with your friends, the enemy may find a way to bring you down....

My heart is conflicted atm. A part of me doesn’t want to be going out and clubbing this week but just chill with my Bible. However a larger part of me just wants to socialise this week. I’m not gonna do anything stupid - is what I keep telling myself. And I believe myself. Meh.

Acts 19
V8 And he went into the synagogue and SPOKE BOLDLY for 3 months. V15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” What would an evil spirit say to me?… “Riot at Ephesus” is such a strange ending. “so the whole city was filled with confusion” – typical of a riot as we’ve seen this year in England.

I'M IN UNIVERSITY
Just sorted my internet out. It still feels surreal that I am here. On my own (but with flatmates). No parents though. It’s been a hectic few days.  Arrived on Sunday. Turns out I forgot to buy a duvet or a pillow. Mum cried. I love my mum. It was sad to see her cry. She hardly ever cries. I’m gonna make sure to ring her everyday for the next week. Monday - I’ve been wanting to...

Acts 16
V2 He [Timothy] was well of spoken of….Again a good reputation is important. Holy Spirit I ask for your direction and the sensitivity to listen to you and the grace to do what you tell me. Lydia was a woman who worshipped God and God chose her to hear the gospel. No coincidence. Lydia is Ms Independent. This woman is a business woman, and she is wealthy - “a seller of purple”. That is the result...

Acts 15
Why is circumcision such a big deal?! Judas seems to have been quite a common name but look how Iscariot ruined it for everyone - a bit like how Hitler ruined Adolf for everyone. V39 Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus; 40 but Paul chose Silas and departed… I don’t know what to think of these verses. Who was right?...

war of words
War of Words is supremely evident in Acts 14. It amazes how a few people can alter the minds of many back then and even now. The Media of today are like the unbelieving Jews [who] stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brethren (v2). This is why Jesus tells us to be vigilant! V3 Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking BOLDLY in the Lord…isn’t that interesting, I’ve...

Acts 13
V44 The whole city gathered to hear the gospel preached. I think maybe I’m too familiar with the Bible. These people craved for the Word of God to be read to them. I think it’s interesting that God never let Paul and Barnabas settle and become comfortable; they started the fire of the gospel and then got kicked out because God wanted them to move on. Father, kick me when I need to move on!

The danger of being a people person
I like to think that I am my own person and other’s opinions don’t bother me, but the truth is on occasion applause and praise are intoxicating and can alter my attitude – making me arrogant. Reading Acts 12 Herod is a great example of a people pleaser. V2 Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter...
