Repeated emphasis, I think this is the third time –
“Do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases…
Love is as overpowering as death.
Devotion is as unyielding as the grave.
Love’s flames are flames of fire,
flames that come from the Lord.
Raging water cannot extinguish love,
and rivers will never wash it away.”

Love is as overpowering as death –...
I will be taking a hiatus from social networking...
Queued stuff will still be rolling

Her shade of brown is like none other
for exquisite delights look no further
she is a case worth studying
her body is a canyon worth exploring
I’d love her over and over
if eternity would let me show her
the constellations above are no longer alluring
and with my own eyes I see her glowing

POETRY at its finest.
Your rounded thighs are like jewels,
the work of a master hand.
Your navel is a rounded bowl
that never lacks mixed wine.

What if you woke up today, and only had the things you thanked God for...

Shakespeare cannot compare to Solomon
You are beautiful as Tirzah, my love,
lovely as Jerusalem,
awesome as an army with banners…
“Who is this who looks down like the dawn,
beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun,
awesome as an army with banners?”
Songs 6:4,10
Tirzah - תרצהmeans “delight.” Jerusalem - Foundation Of Peace. http://www.abarim-publications.com
It is fascinating that Solomon equates the power,...

What is the value of a kiss?
A kiss at the most basic definition is a touch with the lips.
The evolution of a handshake is holding hands. The evolution of a hug is a cuddle. It’s all about timing. A lingering handshake with a stranger is awkward. A lingering hug with a stranger is also awkward. So time is proportional to intimacy. Consequently, this means a meaningful kiss cannot be had unless time has been spent with...

One Mind.
I only have one resolution this coming year and that is to be of one mind. Indecisiveness is an aspect about me that I dislike intently and want to get rid of. From trivial matters such as “Should I get pepperoni or ham and pineapple?” to big things like “Should I ——with her?” I want to be resolute. I want to be of one mind. Once I make a decision, that should...

Is it just me but is this season of Family Guy (Season 10) being more serious and tackling more serious issues? I’m impressed with how they covered domestic abuse in episode 3.

‘Yes we know it’s Christmas’ say African musicians... →
b-sama:
CAPE TOWN. After 28 years of silently tolerating it, a group of unemployed local musicians have joined forces to release a Christmas single, entitled ‘Yes we do,’ in response to the Bob Geldof inspired Band Aid song, ‘Do they know it’s Christmas?’.
Speaking at the launch of their song, the musicians praised Geldof’s relentless quest for an answer and said they hoped their collaboration...

For the unbeliever there is a sunset and a sunrise
But for the believer our path is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. We have no sunset. Pray to stay on the path of the righteous so your light does not diminish!
2012 will be brighter and brighter.
Songs 5 is random. I don’t understand what happened.

A brutally honest look at racism from the great John Piper. Well worth the 18 minutes to watch. It’s promoting his new book Bloodlines, which I plan to get soon.

Art + Nudity - awakeningapril
awakeningapril answered you:
Question - When is nudity art? Should it be considered art and why?
sonofdust
The term, “nude” is in reference to artistic expression of the ideal naked body. In the Western world, it originates from the early renaissance in the 15th century where a good amount of artists chose to depict biblical figures in a “nude” manner with idealized bodies. The reason they...

Solomon is such a charmer. Who wouldn’t melt at “Your two breasts are like two fawns, like twins of a gazelle that feed among the lilies” Songs 4:5 He’s talking about her boobies…in the Bible!!! Lololol Naughty naughty.

What am i in the pursuit of? Women wealth glory knowledge. Wisdom tells me these are all vanities. Come on Daniel, commit yourself to an ideal and stop living the expectations of others and your pride. Commit to the truth. Live in the truth. Where is my heart? The heart is surely fragile when it is in many places. The heart should only be in one place. Surely one cannot look for love. Love finds...

Tbh I don’t know if I want to continue reading the book of Songs. It emphasises the fact I don’t have this sort of love in my life.
Songs 3:5 is a repetition almost as if it is a caution or a warning. DANGER Do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases.
